What they're ready for

A county-seat department in farm country answers calls a city truck never sees. Two of them show up on the department's own equipment list.

Grain-bin rescue

When a worker is trapped in flowing grain, minutes decide the outcome. The department lists dedicated grain-bin rescue equipment, the panels and augers that free someone from an engulfment. It is the kind of call that defines a farm-county department.

Water rescue

Rivers, ponds, and flooded creeks run through Ida County, and they turn cold and fast. The roster carries water-rescue suits so crews can go in after someone in water an unprotected rescuer could not survive.

Stand with the department

There is no paid shift here. The people who run these trucks are neighbors who carry a pager on top of a day job. The department keeps its community posted on Facebook, and that is where to reach it.

This page is a design concept and cannot take sign-ups or donations. Every button opens the department's real Facebook page, which is its verified public channel.
